A significant advantage of the self-priming vortex pump is its self-priming function, which means that the pump can draw liquid by itself without an external water supply. This feature makes the self-priming vortex pump start more quickly, especially after shutdown, part of the liquid will flow back and stay in the pump body, covering the impeller. When starting next time, because the liquid occupies part of the space in the pump body, the air in the pump body is relatively less, reducing the time to exhaust the air, thereby improving the starting efficiency.
